Sunday, May 30, 2004 .

this entry is less than an hour after the previous one.

i just read in the papers that Pat Tillman was probably killed by friendly fire.
during the Iraq war.

it's damn sad. but a large amount of soldiers die in war cos of friendly fire.
i.e. getting (unintentionally) shot by your own people.

im gonna do live firing tmr.
my section of 7men will run up and down with live ammo and shot at targets.
and we run in staggered files so if i were to point my rifle anywhere but straight, i'd risk shooting my friend.

and this is the easy part of the live firing.
on saturday, we have section "quick attack".
we'll be shooting at 90degree angles.
it's hard to explain but in short...it means that if we dont cease fire at the right time, we'd definately shoot our friends.

lotsa safety precautions are taken but still...it's scarey.
less than half a year ago...we were still school kiddies going for A levels and prom and all that shit.
big changes.
