Poor Rich Girl

been a day since i got back from india.
i am so so tired.
really.
but somehow i just wanted to get something out and posted on the blog before i crash in.
as it is, im already sitting on my bed.
really.
i havent felt this tired in a long long time.
not even when i was in india did i feel this tired.

but im obliged to state that India was by far my best military trip ever.
no shit.
i share a big room with my buddy, and we have our own toilet.
during R&R, we lived in the Presidential Suite. Mansionette style complete with 3toilets, 3 tv's, a bar counter, over 80channels of local and cable tv, beach view (although there was some unsightly construction going on under my window), and did i mention free beer? it was Fosters, but hey, im not freaking complaining man.

breakfast on the beach, lunch on a lawn and dinner on a roof-top that overlooked the beach. i couldnt ask for more.

training wasnt tough to say the least.
hell it was a tad stressful and monotonous, but some parts were genuinely enjoyable.
not to mention when people cook maggi mee for you.
and the indian soldiers serve you coffee and cakes at times.
seriously, you dont get this kinda treatment anywhere else.
or at least i havent.

i had enough time to finish 3 books during my stay there.
my friend finished 7. (and im not trying to say he's a fast reader)
i pretty much loved it there.
weather was splendid.

of course, i missed the Motherland.
and the people in it.
most of all, i hate to have missed JY's 21st.
sucks.
but it's good to know you had fun. =)

i have so much to say about Indialand, and it's people, and so much more.
despite dreading india before i embarked on the journey, i never regretted going there.
honestly, with all my heart.
pity i didnt get to see the Taj Mahal.
this indian Major tells me that the story of the Taj Mahal is the greatest love story of all time.
i beg to differ.
maybe the greatest love story in all of India, but not of all time.
those who havent heard of it should go find out if not shoot yourself.

good night world.

Mo, today is T-minus 7days to Enlistment.
7days before i enlisted, i felt like i was looking forward to the army.
well, kinda. at least i didnt dread it.
you shouldnt either. dont dread it.
im not saying it's gonna be fun, but it'll be a life changing experience.
and it's bloody worth it.

(disclaimer: i speak by the 1year experience i have and nothing more)
