Andy You're A Staryesterday at HMV, Heerens. Ramstein was on the second level tellys looking really goth and somewhat Chucky-type-horror. sickness.
but before that, this party-on-the park thing was going on on the first floor screens. ya know, those Brit outdoor concerts where a gazillion people gather at the royal lawn outside the castle. various brit aritists played. Coldplay, U2, that guys from Verve. great stuff.
made even greater was their cause. across the stage is this ginormous banner saying "ONE VOICE TO MAKE POVERTY HISTORY". it was a fund raiser concert.
celebrities hold so much power and influence, aptly much like modern day aristocrats. royalty in their own right.
if every singer in the world was committed to some worthy cause like cancer research or AIDS prevention or whatever,
imagine all the people they could be saving. the effort in helping to
make it a better place would be trememdous. and all it would cost them is perhaps one day a month. that shouldnt be too much to ask. it's the same world that they and the victims of Katrina live in. it's their own planet they're contributing to. for those who have lended a hand, i appluad them for doing what might remotely be called their duty.
one voice could go a long way.
dont it always seem to go, that you dont know what you've got till it's gone.
