Fashion Police
i was at PS not at very long time ago. early morning. 2nd day of the New Year i believe. Waltzed down the aisle on the basement, soaking in post the holiday cheer, between rows of Christmas decor outside the shops.
WHAM!!!
Chinese New Year music starts blaring in this jewellery shop! i swear i almost lost it. i so wanted to kick the sales assistant in the shop.
Christmas Day was just over like a week ago. which means it was the 8th day of Christmas. Christmas isnt over. i dont care what other festival might be coming up next or might fall during the 12 stipulated days, but YOU DONT BLOODY PLAY WANKIN CNY MUSIC!!! (or any other festival music for that matter).
and it certainly as hell is closer to Christmas than it is to CNY. what gives anyone the right to flood the airwaves with CNY music so early? if i had a say in matters, CNY music would only be played from the eve until the 3rd day of CNY.
and who plays ching-chong-i-got-alot-of-gongs music when there's still Christmas decor all around? Christmas is all around! not CNY?!!
argh!
i finally caught History of Violence. it is good. different from the graphic novel it was based on but still good and of course violent. Tom, the lead character, is a "one man army" as quoted from this Turkish guy i know.
was headed to the bus stop yesterday when i was slowed down by this handful of what looked like undergrads. they were taking the same route i was to the bus stop and were walking incredibly slowly. somehow, the fact that they were well dressed made it somewhat bearable.
