Sand

People rushing left to right
There's pretty faces left to right
I'm just frozen staring into space
Faster than the speed of light
I'm holding on I'm holding tight
Cause stars are gonna crash into this place

It was vivid. I was at the shop across the block, which had always sold breakfast, but never ever had a place for customers to sit. It was a convenience store - of course it didn't have a place for people to sit around. Well, this time, the store wasn't across the block. It was in NUS. how i knew it was there, i had absolutely no clue, but it had seats too! Lots of them i might add.

I was getting breakfast and Zhiying walks into focus from the corner of my field of vision. She was every bit the same, except fairer. She waved to get my attention and mimed to ask if i was eating. I yelled across the store/stall (at this point in time, i couldn't tell which is was, though i guess there isn't much of a difference anyway) that we should sit together, and immediately remembered why she had hand-gestured in the first place - we were in a library. It's times like those you wish you had huge shades and a hoodie to hide your face. She hardly took anytime deciding what she wanted. I, being Mr Cleo's-Top-10-Most-Indecisive-Men, took forever to decide what i should have that morning (and the store uncle wasn't exactly helping by telling me what items were cheap or what was a "buy 2 get 1 free" offer because everything was either cheap or on offer. Bitch.) By the time i sat down beside her, she was already half-way through her food. Further evidence , of course, of my indecision, and i would think girls aren't quick eaters.

Ray appeared out of no where, but not in a bad way. He can be so abrupt sometimes, that is not to say inappropriate. His presence somehow always improves group dynamics. I wish i could do that - yes, improve group dynamics by being there. Simply effortless skill.

FLASH

It was night. I was at the Market. No, not the wet market nor super market, nor even the stock market. The Market as in the Neverwhere Market. From London Below, very carnival like, rows of people selling all sorts of stuff. It was by this big lake that i have never seen before (that didn't mean anything considering i've probably only seen like 5 lakes in my life).

Somehow there was an SMU party in the midst of all that bustle. I hardly knew anyone there. This song by Athlete sang in the air, making it seem oddly like an OC party, and even more strange was how familiar it felt. A couple of old friends found me and decided we should take a picture by the lake. In the night, the serenity of the lake was a stark contrast to it's surrounding activity. There was a middle-aged lady screaming down an aisle which was known to them as the Access-Corridor. It didn't make any rational sense, but a name's a name. You don't ask why. Much to my disappointment, we didn't take the picture in the end.

The dream either ended there, or i couldn't remember what the rest of it was. It was the most real dream i've had in a while though.
