Let It DieFor the simple and sole reason that Americans have exposure to a wider source, and essentially better music is enough to induce my migration to the States.
For the next 5 months, i could content myself with watching whole seasons of CSI, CSI Miami, CSI New York, Desperate Housewives, OC 3, Lost 2 and Grey's Anatomy. Read all the books by Milan Kundera, Chuck Palahniuk, and the two remaining Neil Gaiman books i haven't read. Read copy after copy of National Geographic, The Economist, Time GQ, Esquire and all those tennis magazines. Go run, swim, play tennis and rugby religiously. Catch up with people who mean a great deal, visit the Tyersall House, fly to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Melbourne and Canada. Get my hands on all the music that i'm missing out on.
I could do all of the above had i decided to save conscientiously instead of spend every last cent of pay i was given in the last two years.
Instead of the above, i'll either be working at Raoul as a retial assistant or at YMCA as a swimming instructor. The latter being something i see myself enjoy doing, but pales in comparison to the inexhaustible list of things i'd much rather do than work.
The things you realise but only too very late.
Do check out Breathe Me by Sia. It was featured in the season finale of CSI: Miami. Pretty song, albeit depressing and, depending on interpretation, could be mildly suicidal.
